Gang attack leaves 2 men unconscious

TWO young men were left unconscious after a brutal early morning attack outside a kebab shop.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the assault by a group of up to 10 men which happened in Watling Street, Gillingham.
The victims, one aged 28 and the other 29, had been out with other friends before they decided to got the visit the Durus Kebab Shop in Watling Street on their way home.
When they entered the shop a gang of about seven to 10 men were already inside. One of the friends was approached by one of the gang and they had a brief conversation.
The group then became abusive so the friends collected their food, left the shop and headed towards their car which was parked in Watling Street.
As they were walking down the road, one of the gang threw a can of soft drink which hit one of them. This man was then attacked by three or four of the group who knocked him unconscious.
A spokesman for Medway Police said: "At this point the man’s friend ran to help him but was also attacked by some of the other men. He was kicked and punched until he became unsconcious.
"The offenders continued to kick the pair in the head and then pushed over two of the victims’ friends, who had tried to help before the gang ran off down Ash Tree Lane."
One of the victims’ friends then flagged down an ambulance and the police were called.
Both victims were taken to hospital and needed treatment. One received bruising to the whole of his face, a cut lip, grazes over his body and a number of other cuts. The second man received bruising and injuries to his face.
Polie have issued descriptions of the attackers. Two are about 18 or 19, slim to medium build, about 6ft with blond hair, long at the back.
Another was wearing a pink shirt with white chequers on it. A third offender is about 18 to 21, also of slim to medium build, short brown hair and about 5ft 8in. He was wearing a blue T-shirt with blue stripes on it.
Two of the other offenders are about 5ft 2in tall, dark haired and of medium build. The sixth is described as 5ft 8in, medium build and was wearing a light white/grey T-shirt.
The other two are about 18 or 19, 5ft 4in, and of medium to slim build, and were wearing jeans and loafer type shoes.
Another in the gang is 20 to 25 and of slight to medium build. He was wearing a light blue top, denim jeans and black shoes.
The last offender is aged 18-19, about 5ft 5in, medium to slim build and was wearing jeans and a jumper with a shirt underneath.
He had has blond hair with "rats-tails" of a slightly lighter colour.
The incident happened between 2.25am and 2.40am on Sunday, July 31.
