GCSE results released today in Kent

00:01, 25 August 2016

Nervous teenagers across the county will find out their grades today as GCSE results are released.

Thousands of Kent pupils will be heading into school this morning to pick up those all-important envelopes containing the grades that could determine their immediate future.

One option is to continue into further education at a college or school sixth form, but others will be taking up apprenticeships or joining to job market directly.

But it's not the end of the world if a pupil misses out on a grade or two - there are options available.

If not, there may be a different sixth form or college that will be happy to offer a place despite the lower grades.
