A grand spring charity ball to raise money for Victim Support is being hosted by kmfm's drivetime presenter, Rob Wills.

The event is being held at the Ashford International Hotel, on Saturday, May 18.

The ticket price includes a drink on arrival, a three-course meal and then Rob will spin the decks for guests.

The charity helps victims of crime and was announced as KentOnline, kmfm and KMTV's Charity of the Year in January.

Victim Support is a national charity funded locally by Kent's Police and Crime Commissioner Matthew Scott.

It provides free and confidential support for all victims of crime from its base in Ashford.

The ball will raise money for its cause and people in the county are being urged to buy a ticket to the event to enable more victims of crime to be helped by the charity.

Clive Emson auctioneer, who regularly appears on BBC1 show, Homes Under the Hammer, will be staging a sale during the event which has lots worth bidding for.

Some of the lots guests can bid for include a box on the finish line at Ascot.

The prize includes 28 general tickets and 28 box entry tickets plus 10 car parking passes.

The box can hold up to 28 for a buffet and 20 for a sit-down meal and food and drinks packages are available at an additional cost to the winning bidder.

Other lots include a Stephen Webster piece of jewellery - his most famous client is Madonna.

Four tickets to any Kent cricket T20 match, a weekend car loan from Barretts of Canterbury, a Shepherd Neame Brewery tour and tutored tasting for 10 people and a deluxe Experience Day for two people at Chapel Down Vineyard and Brewery.

Other lots include a signed Chelsea football and four tickets for the Call the Midwife tour plus Chatham Historic Dockyard entry.

Too boost fundraising coffers there will also be a raffle during the evening.

Prizes which can be won include a season ticket to Doddington Place Gardens with cream tea for a family of up to five, a one day entry to Leeds Castle for two adults and three children, a tour and tasting for two people at Chapel Down vineyard, afternoon tea with Prosecco at Salomons Estate Country House, in Tunbridge Wells and alcohol bundles including Jack Daniels.

The evening dress code is black tie and ball gowns.
