Gillingham chairman Paul Scally honours fans for support by registering Rainham End as No13 for the season

Gillingham chairman Paul Scally has paid tribute to the club's fans in the club's centenary campaign by registering the squad number 13 as The Rainham End.
The club has also produced a giant replica of the Gills' centenary kit which will be unfurled as a flag in the Rainham End and on the road at every game this season.
Mr Scally explained: "The Rainham End has been the traditional home, throughout Gillingham’s history, of the club’s most passionate and vocal supporters.
"We have always enjoyed a tremendous support from our fans, both home and away and their fervent backing is sure to play a key role in helping the team to further success this season.”
Mr Scally added: “The giant flag will symbolise how important Gillingham’s supporters are, both to the club and to our team.
"Any team visiting Priestfield Stadium this season will soon realise that when you take on Gillingham, you’re not just playing eleven men, but an entire Club."
Mr Scally also presented Rainham End season ticket holders and life-long supporters Richard Cherry and Martin Sharp with a specially printed edition of the club’s 2012/13 shirt (pictured).
