Gillingham fans are confident their side can maintain their promotion push with victory over Morecambe at Priestfield on Saturday.
MALCOLM SMITH
(Grimsby)
"If we are to get automatic promotion, then we must win all three of our home games and pick up at least one win at Rotherham or Chesterfield.
"Morecambe were well organised at The Globe Arena way back in August, so getting an early goal will be imperative to prevent another Hereford happening.
"I hope that Hess puts out an attacking line-up as the defence is solid enough to cope. I would hope that Spiller’s energy, Barcham’s resurgence down the left and our prolific front men will be too much for Morecambe but our start will be key.
"Hopefully, the (slightly) cheaper tickets will boost the attendance at Priestfield and the extra support will give the impetus to get out of the traps quickly and onto another three points."
Prediction: Gills 3 Morecambe 0
PAUL BLAKELEY
(Maidstone)
"The match against Lincoln was a much-needed win against a team bereft of form and confidence. From reports it seems Barcham was returning to his old self.
"I was worried we’d drop out of the play-offs - that we lacked the penetration to win when it got tough, but scoring a few away from home has calmed my fears. I still believe we have to win every remaining game to achieve our aims, so it’s vital we start well against Morecambe.
"Our strikers have done well and hopefully the midfield can chip in with some more goals - the return of Spiller provides the oomph we need, if maybe not the finishing at the moment! It would be nice to see some of the fringe players more involved and showing what they can do - Rooney’s looked bright recently and Stefan Payne always seems he has something to build on."
Prediction: Gills 3 Morecambe 1
SAM LIVINGSTONE
(Pangbourne)
"I think that Gillingham will struggle to break down an inconsistent Morecambe. At home, the Gills have scored a meagre amount of goals and we need to keep up our promotion push with another win to get us higher up the table.
"Confidence should be high and I can’t see us losing as we have hardly any injuries now. More and more players are coming back to full fitness and it will be hard for Hess to pick his starting 11.
"I think we’ll scrape past Morecambe 1-0 with the goal coming from Cody."
Prediction: Gills 1 Morecambe 0
RICHARD PEPPER
(Manston)
"After our emphatic win at Lincoln we need to stay focused and take maximum points. If we can win every match until the last day of the season we could well be heading to Chesterfield needing a win to go up automatically.
"Cody and Bayo have formed a wonderful partnership and it is crucial we hold onto them both in the summer. On our day we can beat anyone in this league, we just need to have more of those days.
"Hopefully Curtis will have recovered from his minor injury in time for this week and with Barcham starting to show the form that won him everything at last year's P.O.Y. event it looks to be an exciting run-in. The change in line-up and formation was long overdue and it does raise the question why did it take Hess so long to make the necessary changes?
Prediction: Gills 3 Morecambe 1
BOB FLEETWOOD
(Morecambe fan)
"We’ve had one or two decent results recently and our away form is certainly better than at home. We beat Rotherham and recently won at Chesterfield and also did the double against Shrewsbury so I don’t think Gillingham will have an easy game and I’m predicting a draw - I would be happy with that.
"We’ve got on-loan striker Jimmy Spencer, who could be one to watch, and Danny Carlton, who has returned, and came off the bench last weekend. He scored the winning goal to get us promoted to the Football League.
"I would say we are safe from relegation now."
Prediction: Gills 1 Morecambe 1
