Gillingham have a solid base for next season, says Andy Hessenthaler

Andy Hessenthaler believes he already has in place a solid foundation to build for next season.
The Gills manager will be bringing in new faces over the summer to add to the 13 who are already contracted for at least another season.
But with the likes of Charlie Lee, Chris Whelpdale, Danny Kedwell, Jack Payne, Andy Frampton and the emergence of young keeper Paulo Gazzaniga (pictured with Hessenthaler), he believes the squad is already looking sound.
"We have got the base of a very good squad here," he said. "There will obviously be players who go and we will identify players we want to bring in and we can have a right crack at it again next season.
"We need to make sure we can build a team that will achieve what we set out to achieve since I came back.
"It's important we get off to a good start next year and find that real consistency within the squad and make sure it happens."
