Gillingham opened their campaign with a win but manager Andy Hessenthaler believes his team have much more to offer.
The Gills had to scrap for the three points, beating Cheltenham 1-0 at Priestfield on Saturday, and Hessenthaler (pictured) is now looking forward to his players showing that they can excite as well.
"We have won the game but we know we’ve got more in the locker," said Hessenthaler.
"We want to pass the ball but we couldn’t get that going on Saturday – we have to give the opposition credit for that. They did everything to stop us."
"The first game is always tough but we have got a win under our belt and a clean sheet, and I couldn’t ask for any more from the players.
"We said we needed to hit the ground running. We’ve got a win but we won’t get carried away because that’s all it is – one win."
