Gillingham striker Stefan Payne leaves the club to join League 2 rivals Aldershot Town

Gillingham striker Stefan Payne has joined Aldershot after his Priestfield contract was terminated by mutual consent.
Payne, who joined the Gills in the summer of 2010 after being released by Fulham, was out of contract at the end of the season.
He never got a run in the first team at Priestfield despite a number of substitute appearances - and found himself even further down the pecking order after the arrivals of Jo Kuffour and Gavin Tomlin during the January transfer window.
Payne has signed for Aldershot until the end of the current season.
