A series of niggly injuries and a bout of illness have hampered Gillingham’s preparations for Saturday's FA Cup tie at Leyton Orient.
The club doctor had plenty of patients in the early part of the week with both keeper Ross Flitney, pictured, and defender Matt Fish missing training through illness. Both are expected to recover and be ready for selection.
Danny Kedwell resumed training in the latter part of the week after protecting a troublesome toe injury. Defender Garry Richards was also taking it easy after damaging his ribs in the goalless draw against Bradford, however the pair should be in the side to face Orient.
Danny Jackman was expected to be fit after missing the last two games with a groin injury, while Chris Whelpdale is also fit again, having missed the match against Bradford with a chest infection.
The players definitely missing are loan strikers Jo Kuffour and Frank Nouble, suspended defender Matt Lawrence and the long-term injured, Danny Spiller, Barry Fuller and Adam Birchall.
