There will be more Gillingham fans at Wembley on Saturday than the entire attendance at last year's League 2 play-off final.

With just a few thousands of the club's allocation remaining, officials are confident of selling all the tickets, outstripping last season's final between Rochdale and Stockport, which attracted 35,000 in total.

With 38,000 Gills fans travelling up for the vital Shrewsbury showdown, transport links could be busier than ever.

In response, Southeastern has confirmed it will be putting on extra carriages and doubling the size of most services from Medway's stations.

A spokesman confirmed it was also looking into an additional service for the fans' return journey.
