Nominations for annual Ward and Partners Children's Awards in Kent
00:01, 22 June 2017
If you know a child who has been courageous and resolute when the odds are stacked against them – now’s the time to give them the recognition they deserve.
Or are you aware of an outstanding charity or voluntary group that deserves the limelight for the support it offers to children and families facing challenging conditions?
The Ward and Partners Children's Awards were launched last month and there is now only a fortnight left to submit final nominations.
The awards are a fantastic way for the county to recognise determined and brave youngsters breaking barriers both at home, in school and within the wider community.
Supported by Ward and Partners estate agents and the Kent Community Foundation, over the years we have received hundreds of stories of inspirational bravery.
This year is likely to be no different – but it is only with the support of you, our readers, that we are able to learn about young people doing amazing things in difficult circumstances.
It may be a child battling to overcome illness or someone achieving in a sport or hobby despite their disability.
Have you a neighbour or friend that has raised funds for charity who deserves an enormous pat on the back for the time and effort they’ve dedicated to a cause?
Or are you aware of a young carer who may be juggling their own childhood around looking after another family member?
We want to know, to ensure they get the recognition they so very clearly deserve.
What’s more, they could be treated to a fantastic gala lunch and Halloween party in the autumn – which is the ultimate highlight of the Children’s Awards for our young finalists.
All finalists will be invited to an awards ceremony on Friday, October 27.
