Kent County Show returns for its 90th anniversary, and boasts lots of entertainment, displays and, of course, local food.
It is organised by the Kent County Agricultural Society and held on Friday, 5, Saturday, 6 and Sunday, July 7 between 8am and 6pm every day.
The famous show includes activities for the whole family to enjoy.
The event is a showcase for farming, countryside and rural life and the three day event brings together the very best of Kent with fun, food, animals and excitement, showing exactly what The Garden of England has to offer.
How can you get to the show?
By bus:
Nu-Venture is providing the usual shuttle bus service between Central Maidstone and the showground at Detling.
This leaves from Maidstone East Station (Bus Stop O outside County Hall) at 9am, 10am and 11am and 10 minutes later from King Street, Bus Stop/Shelter K1 (opposite Boots).
Buses return from the Show to Maidstone at 3pm, 4pm and 5pm and again at 6.15pm on all days.
Return fare is £5 for all passengers (accompanied children under 16 travel free).
By car:
The Kent Event Centre at the showground is ideally suited for arrival by car. It is located on the A249, which is a busy dual carriageway.
If you’re coming from the M20, exit at junction 7 and follow signs to Sittingbourne and Sheerness (A249).
The Kent Showground is approximately two miles from the junction and is clearly marked.
If coming from the M2, exit the motorway at junction 5 which is signposted as Maidstone A249. The showground is approximately five miles from the junction.
The postcode for the showground is ME14 3JF, however we advise you follow the signs as you near the showground rather than a sat nav, to ensure you are lead to the correct area.
