STAFF from the Heart of Kent Hospice in Aylesford will compensate for a lack of bluebells on a sponsored walk this weekend - by dressing up as them.
As many as 20 employees from the hospice at Preston Hall, will don full-size bluebell costumes for the fundraising walk on Sunday.
Strictly speaking, the walk is five months too late for real bluebells which flower in early May.
The starting point for the circular Bluebell Woods Walk will be at Harrietsham Village Hall and Community Centre, off Church Road, between 9am and 11.30am. The full route measures more than eight miles it will be possible to have lunch at a pub halfway round and then obtain a lift back.
Sponsorship forms can be obtained from fundraising manager, Jane Newman, by calling 01622 790195.
