Hundreds of homes have been left without power after Storm Bert caused disruption across the county today.
UK Power Networks says emergency repairs have forced power to be cut to homes and businesses in an area stretching around Blean, Godmersham and Chartham, near Canterbury.
And it warns power may not be restored until after midnight - with a current estimate for work to be completed between 11.30pm and 00.30am.
It explains: “We've had to turn off power so our engineers can safely carry out emergency repairs to the network.”
There is a similar situation in and around Iwade and Borden in Swale. A resolution is expected at roughly the same time.
There have also been outages in Chatham and Newenden - although they are believed to be resolved by early evening.
