Ian Hendon hoping Gillingham get a lucrative draw in the Carling Cup
13:08, 15 June 2011
Gillingham assistant boss Ian Hendon is dreaming of landing a big gun in Thursday's Carling Cup draw.
The Gills will be in the hat for the first round draw with potential opponents West Ham topping Hendon's wishlist.
Unseeded Gills will get drawn against a seeded team, which could also pair them against Portsmouth, Reading or Southampton.
Hendon said: "If we can get West Ham that would be great - and hopefully on our own patch.
"It would be great to get a home draw against a top team and I'm sure it could bring in some revenue as well."
The draw for the first round of the Carling Cup is due to be announced at 10am on Thursday.
