A Dover based charity has revealed how it is working with schools as part of an ongoing battle against hostility towards migrants arriving in the town.
Samphire was originally set up to provide support for detainees at the Dover immigration removal centre which opened in 2002.
When it closed in 2015, the project shifted to provide support to help foster a strong and diverse community across the coastal town.
In this week’s podcast we sat down with Tanya Long, the director of Samphire.
Yesterday, Kent County Council announced it has received a government grant of more than £400,000 to help support young asylum seekers in Canterbury and Medway.
