A five time shoplifter and numerous drink drivers are among the latest to face justice in Kent's magistrates' court.
300 hours of unpaid work for Sheerness man
David Steady, of Vincent Gardens, stole cable from a recycling centre in Bridge Road, Sheerness, and drove a Ford Escort in Vincent Gardens, while disqualified and with no insurance.
Magistrates ordered the 54-year-old to carry out 300 hours of unpaid work in the next year and banned him from driving for two years.
He must also pay a £120 fine, £85 costs and an £85 victim surcharge.
Disqualified drink driver with no insurance banned
Gedvaldas Balsevicius, of Milroy Avenue, Northfleet, drove a Honda Accord in Dering Way, Gravesend, while disqualified and with no insurance.
He also gave a breath test of 50 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
He then failed to surrender to bail at Medway Magistrates’ Court without reasonable excuse.
Magistrates banned the 37-year-old from driving for three years. He must also pay a £450 fine and a £30 victim surcharge.
Driving offender in prison
Blair Crittenden, of River Street, Gillingham, drove a Peugeot 206 on the A249, Sittingbourne, while disqualified and with no insurance. He also had cannabis on him.
Magistrates sentenced the 29-year-old to 56 days in prison. Because the offences were committed during the operational period of a suspended sentence, the overall length of his sentence is 112 days.
Three year ban and unpaid work for Gravesend man
Ronnie Ward, of The Downage, drove a Citroen Berlingo in Royal Pier Road, Gravesend, and gave a breath test of 46 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
He also had a knuckle duster.
Magistrates banned the 28-year-old from driving for three years and ordered him to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work in the next year. He must also pay £85 costs and an £85 victim surcharge.
Drink driver off the road for two years
Kellie Gardiner, of Yew Tree Close, Chatham, drove a Renault Scenic on the M2 at Doddington, with no insurance and gave a blood test of 238 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 80 milligrammes.
Magistrates banned the 41-year-old from driving for two years. She must also pay a £120 fine, £85 costs and an £85 victim surcharge.
Ban for drug driver
Tom O'Neill, of Windmill Street, Gravesend, drove a Peugeot van in Bayly Road, Dartford, while unfit through drugs.
Magistrates banned the 32-year-old from driving for a year and ten months. He must also pay an £80 fine, £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
Curfew and ban for drink driver
Lucinda Stone, of Adelaide Drive, Sittingbourne, drove a Ford Focus in Gillingham, and gave a breath test of 97 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
Magistrates banned the 54-year-old from driving for three years and nine months and gave her a three month curfew to remain at home between 10am and 6pm on Mondays, Saturdays and Sundays until June 13.
She must also pay £85 costs and an £85 victim surcharge.
Ban and unpaid work for Maidstone man
Ross Williams, of Bell Road, Maidstone, failed to do a breath test in Gillingham.
Magistrates banned the 29-year-old from driving for a year and ten months and ordered him to carry out 60 hours of unpaid work in the next year. He must also pay £85 costs and an £85 victim surcharge.
Four years off the road for one man
Jake Player, of Kent Avenue, Minster on Sea, drove a Ford Focus in Marine Parade, Sheerness, with no insurance and failed to do a breath test.
Magistrates sentenced the 31-year-old to 18 weeks in prison, suspended for year, and banned him from driving for four years. He must also pay £85 costs and a £115 victim surcharge.
Dangerous driver banned
Daniel Harman, of Sedge Crescent, Chatham, dangerously drove a Ford Iveco in City Way, Rochester, and failed to stop the vehicle when required to do so by a police officer.
He also failed to do a blood test.

Five time shoplifter sentenced
Dan Morrison, of Grace Hill, Folkestone, stole DVDs worth £110 from a shop in Bouverie Place Shopping Centre, Folkestone.
He also stole whisky worth £86 from a supermarket in Bouverie Road West, Folkestone.
He then stole a duvet cover worth £10 from a shop in Sandgate Road, Folkestone.
On two different days he stole meat worth almost £80 from a shop in Foord Road, Folkestone and from a shop in Dover Road, Folkestone.
Magistrates sentenced the 25-year-old to 84 days in prison, suspended for a year. He must also pay £200 compensation.
Double shoplifter behind bars
Dean Robinson, of Fort Pitt Street, Chatham, stole five SD cards worth £40 from a shop in Luton Road, Chatham.
He also stole tracksuits worth £200 from a shop in Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre, Gillingham.
Magistrates sentenced the 25-year-old to 120 days in prison.
Suspended sentence, unpaid work and ban for Dartford man
David Lovell, of Sundridge Close, failed to provide a specimen of urine for analysis in Dartford.
Magistrates sentenced the 46-year-old to 90 days in prison, suspended for a year, ordered him to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work in the next year and banned him from driving for two years and eight months.
He must also pay £300 costs and a £115 victim surcharge.
Tracksuit shoplifter in prison
Solly Robinson, of Fort Pitt Street, Chatham, stole tracksuits worth £200 from a shop in Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre, Gillingham.
Magistrates sentenced the 30-year-old to 120 days in prison. He must also pay £100 compensation.
Gillingham man must pay £400 compensation
Tony Tree, of Freesia Close, assaulted a man, used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards a woman and another man, causing them to fear violence, and caused £300 of damage to a door at a school in Third Avenue, Gillingham.
Magistrates sentenced the 42-year-old to 63 days in prison, suspended for two years. He must also pay £400 compensation.
Hit and run driver sentenced
Charlie Newman, of Mellanby Close, Birchington, drove a Ford Fiesta in Ramsgate Road, Broadstairs, without a licence, with no insurance and without a test certificate.
He failed to stop the vehicle after an accident where another vehicle was damaged and failed to report the accident within 24 hours.
Magistrates ordered the 19-year-old to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work in the next year and banned him from driving for a year. He must also pay £85 costs and an £85 victim surcharge.
Multiple driving offender handed unpaid work and ban
Homeless Paul Thorogood drove a Vauxhall Astra in Moatfield Meadow, Ashford, without a licence and with no insurance.
Another day, he drove a Vauxhall Astra in Rolvenden Road, Tenterden, again without a licence and with no insurance. He also made off without paying for petrol worth £50 from a service station in Rolvenden Road.
He then drove a Ford Focus in Ashford Road, Ashford, without a licence and with no insurance. He also failed to do a breath test and assaulted three police officers at Folkestone Police Station.
Magistrates ordered the 45-year-old to carry out 300 hours of unpaid work in the next year and banned him from driving for a year and a half. He must also pay £415 compensation, £85 costs and a £85 victim surcharge.
Triple offender banned and handed fine
Matthew Bailey, of Sycamore Close, Herne Bay, drove a Volkswagen Golf in Cliff Avenue, Herne Bay, and gave a breath test of 69 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
He also stole bottles of cider worth £6.45 and assaulted a man at a supermarket in High Street, Whitstable.
Magistrates banned the 24-year-old from driving for two years. He must also pay a £120 fine, £44.15 compensation, £170 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
Man caught with snooker ball in sock
Leigh Shilling, stole cosmetic gift sets worth £275 from a shop in High Street, Ashford.
Another day, he had a snooker ball in a sock in High Street, Folkestone, and stole perfume gift sets worth £79 from a shop in Sandgate Road, Folkestone. He also used racially aggravated threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
He stole DVDs and newspapers worth £73 from a shop in High Street, Ashford.
A week later, he attempted to steal two boxes of washing powder worth £23.98 from a shop in Park Mall, Ashford. He also used threatening or abusive words or behaviour in New Rents, Ashford.
He then failed to surrender to bail at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court without reasonable excuse.
Magistrates sentenced the 39-year-old to 24 weeks in prison, suspended for a year. He must also pay £73 compensation.
Margate teen sentenced
Aiden St Louis, of Lewis Crescent, used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards two members of the public in High Street, Margate, causing them to fear violence.
Magistrates sentenced the 18-year-old to 60 days in prison, suspended for a year, and ordered him to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work in the next year. He must also pay £85 costs and a £115 victim surcharge.
Year and a half ban for one man
Michael Renham, of Holton Close, Birchington, drove a Seat Alhambra in Park Lane, Birchington, and gave a urine test of 198 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of urine. The legal limit is 107 milligrammes.
Magistrates banned the 61-year-old from driving for a year and a half. He must also pay a £440 fine, £85 costs and a £44 victim surcharge.
Unpaid work handed to Canterbury man
John Parker, of Wife of Bath Hill, damaged a wing mirror on a Mazda worth £164.96, a wing mirror on a Ford Transit worth £12 and a wing mirror on a Peugeot worth an unknown amount in Spenser Road, Herne Bay.
He also assaulted two men, one of which was racially aggravated.
Magistrates sentenced the 20-year-old to 12 weeks in prison, suspended for a year, and ordered him to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work in the next year. He must also pay £176 compensation and a £115 victim surcharge.
