Injuries hamper Dover Athletic
08:00, 07 April 2011
Dover Athletic’s bid for the Blue Square Bet South play-offs has been hindered by a growing injury list.
Manager Martin Hayes has been forced to a field a makeshift back four in recent weeks.
First choice defenders Olly Schulz and Rob Gillman remain on the sidelines along with midfielders Jon Wallis and Sam Long.
Hayes said: "We are missing a few players but that just goes to show how strong we are with the results we have been producing recently.
"It is frustrating but the boys who have had to fill in have done brilliantly."
Midfielder Luke I’Anson is suspended and will miss Saturday’s game at Weston-super-Mare while on-loan defender Connor Essam (pictured) could return to the side after a head injury.
