An inquest into the death of a Medway schoolboy who died after falling into a crevasse in the Austrian Alps, will be held at the end of the month.
Hayden Waller, 12, was a pupil at The Howard School, in Derwent Way.
He died while he was on a school skiing trip, on Monday, February 18.
It is understood the tragedy happened while he and some of his classmates were crossing a steep, forested area near Mallnitz in the southern province of Carinthia.
At the time Austrian police said four boys, all aged 12, set out from their hotel at about 5.15pm to scale a beauty spot viewing platform nearby.
But instead of using a well-maintained pathway, they decided to take a 200 metre short cut across steep, open ground.
They had not quite reached the hut when they decided to go back down, but two of the group lost their footing and fell into a crevasse.
Mallnitz police said Hayden fell about 10 metres and that died instantly.
One of his fellow pupils was also badly injured in the fall but, was later released from hospital.
The inquest into his death will be held on at County Hall, Maidstone, Monday, June 30 from 10am.
