Invicta Dynamos head coach Kevin Parrish says his players “can’t wait to get out on the ice” for Sunday’s NIHL South 1 opener at home to Milton Keynes Thunder.

And the Mos head coach is equally keen to put the events of last season behind him.

He said: “Last year was one of the worst I have experienced in my time here but I feel a lot happier now than I did at this stage 12 months ago.”

Problems with accommodating players off the ice, promises not being kept and constant injuries left Parrish “dreading the next phone call.”

Dynamos were never in contention as Chelmsford and Romford fought it out for the title.

But Parrish (pictured) added: “This time everything is in place and a lot more stuff is being done by other people behind the scenes. Now my job is to put a winning team on the ice again.”

Some new faces will appear when Mos play in the Oliveira 4-on-4 Tournament at Basingstoke Arena on Saturday.

Wightlink Raiders are playing along with EPL Basingstoke and Bracknell but Parrish insists that the only match that matters is Sunday’s 5.15pm clash with the Thunder.

He said: “If we are going to do something this season then we have got to win our home games.”
