Jack Payne back in contention for Gillingham's final League 2 game of season against Morecambe

Jack Payne is available for selection against Morecambe this weekend but there are doubts over Chris Whelpdale’s fitness.
Payne (pictured) returned to training after a hamstring injury but Whelpdale has been suffering with a groin problem and could miss out on Saturday.
Gavin Tomlin – on loan from Dagenham – is still a week away from recovering from an ankle injury.
With promotion now impossible, Gills may take the opportunity to give other players a chance. Simon King could come back into contention while fellow defender Callum Davies is also fit after recovering from a broken hand.
"We may look at a few things ahead of next season," said first team coach Nicky Southall.
"We want to win the game and try and get up as high in the league as we can.
"There could be a mixture in the team and we may have a look at some of the younger ones.
"Whatever team we play, we will be going out for the three points and finishing on a high. Hopefully, we can go out with a decent performance in front of our own fans."
