A Birmingham-built vehicle has won a best executive and luxury car award.

The Jaguar XF was voted the best executive and luxury car of the year by the What Car? company.

Alongside this the Sunderland-built Nissan Qashqai was voted used car of the year.

The Qashqai also took the best used family car prize.

What Car? editor-in-chief Chas Hallett said: "All the teams involved in the production of both the Nissan Qashqai and the Jaguar XF should be really proud of their achievements.

"The quality of these cars was great when they were new, and three years later they make unbeatable-value used buys."
