Welling manager Jamie Day made his first signings since the transfer embargo was lifted this week - and then insisted he wants to sign a striker.
Day has drafted in centre-back Ben Martin from St Albans along with youngster Conor Heffernan while he is also hoping to tie up a deal for Bromley's left-sided midfielder Ryan Dolby.
"I still want to get another forward in - maybe a target man on not a lot of money!," said Day, pictured.
"That would top us off to a 18 or 19-man squad for the run-in and give us the best chance possible of achieving something."
Explaining his move for Martin, and hopefully the signing of Dolby, Day stated: "Joe Healy is going to Australia for a month due to work so that has freed up some money in the budget and we've been quite lucky to bring people in.
"They want to show what they can do for the next eight weeks or so with a view to next season. I appreciate that I am trying to sign two players on one player's wage.
"Ben is an experienced defender at this level and is someone that I like. With Graeme Andrews struggling with injury we wanted to make sure that we were covered in that area.
"If we can get Ryan in as well then that is the left-sided area covered."
Welling travel to Eastleigh on Saturday with doubts over Jamie Coyle (illness) and injured duo Loui Fazackerley and Andrews but Lee Clarke, who was forced off against Dorchester at half-time with a knee problem last weekend, is fit to return.
