Keir's TV slot with Ant and Dec
00:00, 06 December 2001
A FORMER Kent Messenger Group reporter, Keir MacKenzie, will present the South East voting in The Record of the Year show, hosted by Ant and Dec, on Saturday, December 8, on ITV1.
Mr MacKenzie, a former Meopham School student, joined the Kent Messenger reporting team as a trainee. He then moved to the Gravesend Messenger for a stint as chief reporter before leaving for a career in television.
Mr MacKenzie, 27, said: "I'll be announcing the votes coming in from our region and linking up with what's happening nationally. It will all be happening live on-air, which is a bit scary but it should also be a lot of fun."
