Kent men charged under modern slavery act after 29 Vietnamese people found in van on M5

Two men from Kent are among a group charged with human trafficking after 29 Vietnamese nationals were found in a van.
Devon and Cornwall police confirmed the charges days after the vehicle was stopped on the M5 at Cullompton, in Devon.
On Friday morning around 7am police were called to Newlyn, Cornwall, after group of people were seen getting into the back of a van from a boat.
A van and another vehicle were stopped hours later on the motorway and 29 people - men, woman and children - were found.
Police believe they are from Vietnam and and are looking after them.
Police have charged four men with human trafficking and assisting unlawful immigration to a member state.
They are: Keith Plummer aged 62 from Sheerness.
Jon Ransom, 63, from Kent
Frank Walling, 72 from Colne, Lancashire
Glen Bennett, 55, from Burnley.
They have all been remanded in custody and will be appearing at Truro Magistrates Court tomorrow.
