Kent set for hot May Day Bank Holiday
17:03, 02 May 2018
After the deluge, get set to slap on some sunscreen this weekend.
For Kent could see temperatures in the high 20s over the next few days... and it's the bank holiday!
It comes as the county saw almost a month's worth of rain in one day on Monday.
Met Office forecasters said Saturday and Sunday will be dry with sunny spells and warm, and the mercury is expected to rise to the high 20s over the long weekend.
Deputy chief meteorologist at the Met Office, Chris Bulmer, said he's not making any promises.
"We can't promise wall to wall sunshine for everyone this Bank Holiday weekend, however, it's looking like most of us will get to see some warm sunshine at times.
"For Bank Holiday Monday itself it is possible temperatures could be near record-breaking."
