The Met Office issues Kent yellow weather warning for wind
11:29, 21 November 2017
Kent is set to be battered by extreme winds of up to 70mph, according to the Met Office.
A yellow "be aware" weather warning has been issued.
Gusts are expected to hit the county between 9am tomorrow and 7am on Thursday.
Those who are exposed to coasts will bear the brunt of the conditions with residents in-land experiencing winds of around 50mph.
Drivers have been warned to be aware of rain, which has also been forecast.
A spokesman for the Met Office said: "Winds will gradually ease from the west during the night, finally easing from the far South East of England around dawn on Thursday.
"Outbreaks of rain, some of it heavy, will accompany the strong winds and will add to the difficult driving conditions."
