THE Kent Messenger Group today launches its new Friday newspaper - the Medway Messenger. We are celebrating the bigger and better title in style with a radio roadshow.
We have teamed up with Medway's Mercury FM to introduce the new paper which replaces the Kent Messenger Medway Towns edition with a roadshow in Chatham and Gillingham to give readers the chance to read the first edition for free.
The Kent Messenger group promotional team are under the flyover near Argos in Chatham High Street today with the Mercury FM crew giving away pens, T-Shirts, a copy of the paper, balloons and stickers.
Shoppers will have the chance of entering the Winning Wheel competition with the breakfast crew to win Allders vouchers worth £50.
The new 248-page paper includes a 56-page homefinder supplement, 48 pages of motoring, leisure and entertainment magazine What's On, recruitment and competitions with some top prizes. We have a DVD player, trip to Ballykissangel, CD give-aways and shopping vouchers worth £500.
Look for the KM promotional vans, Mercury FM Black Thunders and lots of activity in Chatham High Street until 5pm today.
KM Group managing editor Ron Green said: "It's an exciting day for us and the people of the Medway Towns."
If you miss the action today, then come along tomorrow, same time, same place to catch the roadshow there.
Next Saturday, join the roadshow in Gillingham High Street, the week after that back in Chatham on Friday and Saturday and the final two days of the four week stint in Gillingham again.
Come along and see for yourself the new Medway Messenger.
