KM Media Group teams recognised at Kent Press and Broadcast Awards

Staff at the KM Group have been collecting awards from the annual Kent Press and Broadcast Awards.
They achieved seven wins and another eight were highly commended from 14 categories.
The ceremony was hosted by Gavin Esler, former presenter at the BBC, at the Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence in Canterbury, and organised by Maxim PR.
It awards recognise the best in press and broadcast journalism in the county.
Award winners for the KM Media Group included: Josie Hannett for Kent Young Journalist of the Year, Ashley Austen for Newspaper Designer of the Year, David Gazet for Best Use of Social Media and Kent Print Journalist of the Year and Nikki White for Kent Columnist of the Year.
The Dartford Messenger and Gravesend Messenger jointly took Kent Newspaper of the Year.
Highly commended were: Matthew Panting in the sports journalist category, Debbie Neech in the newspaper designer category, Matthew Walker in the photographer category, John Nurden for Kent Feature Journalist, Alex Claridge in the columnist category, Josie Hannett for Broadcast Journalist of the Year, Tom Acres in the print journalist category and David Gazet for Digital Journalist of the Year.
