League 2 Gillingham sign former Charlton and Derby striker Deon Burton on a free transfer

Former Premier League striker Deon Burton has joined Gillingham on a one-year deal.
The 35-year-old turned down a move to an unnamed League 1 club to sign for Gills and could feature in the friendly against Watford on Tuesday night.
"We've been after him for a few weeks," said Gillingham boss Martin Allen.
“The chairman managed to sort it out this morning and he is playing tonight.
"I didn't think we were going to get him. I thought he was going to a League 1 club but we got in there at the last minute and the chairman has managed to do a deal so fair play to him."
Burton, who played in the 1998 World Cup for Jamaica, made his name as a Premier League hitman at Derby County.
He worked under Gills boss Martin Allen at Brentford while other former clubs include Portsmouth, Sheffield Wednesday and Charlton.
Burton recently returned from a two-season spell in the Azerbaijan Premier League playing for Gabala, the club managed by former England captain Tony Adams.
