Lewis Montrose not getting excited by Gillingham's form

Gillingham extended their unbeaten run to eight games on Saturday, but Lewis Montrose is one player remaining firmly grounded.
The midfielder (pictured), who tasted promotion from League 2 with Wycombe last season, scored the opener at Priestfield in the 4-1 win over Bristol Rovers.
It boosted the Gills’ hopes of catching the top three in the division but Montrose isn’t getting excited at this stage.
"We are a good team but we don’t want to get carried away," said the 23-year-old.
"We just need to keep working hard on the training ground and we should be fine. We have to take each game as it comes and see where we come at the end of the season.
"Everyone knows where we want to be at the end of the season. We want to get promoted. Being in the play-off positions is not a bad place to be at this time and if we can kick on in the second part of the season I am sure we will be up there.
"This squad is probably better than the one we had at Wycombe. We had a great squad there and we have a great one here now and it’s more than capable of getting promotion.
"We need to keep working hard and for us not to get carried away with the run we are on."
