Looking for Thanet's Star Builder
12:11, 18 August 2009
John Galer, Thanet Branch Director of Chandlers Building Supplies
There is still time to nominate a deserving tradesman or woman for Chandlers Building Supplies and the Thanet Extra's Star Builder 2009 award.
We all hear about the negative side of the building industry with the 'cowboys' seeming to always get the publicity. Our award looks to bring those who do great work to the forefront and show what fantastic tradespeople we have in the local area.
You may know someone who consistently produces a high quality of work, someone who helps with projects in their community, or is simply just loved by colleagues and customers alike; whatever their story we want to hear about it.
From all nominations received for the Star Builder award the three best will be put forward for a public vote in the newspaper. The eventual winner will then be invited to attend a special presentation on Thursday September 10 at the Chandlers branch on Star Lane where they will be rewarded with a silver star award and £200 worth of Chandlers vouchers to spend in store.
John Galer, Branch Director at Chandlers Thanet's Branch said: "All my years of experience working in the Thanet area have shown me that there are a lot of great trades people here. It won't be easy choosing just three for the reader vote."
If you would like to nominate an employee, colleague, friend or even yourself for the Star Builder award, send your and your nominee's name and contact details together with why you think they deserve to win tochandlersthanet@pmwcom.co.uk. Alternatively post your nominations to: Chandlers Thanet Star Builder, c/o PMW Communications, Stane Court, Stane Street, Billingshurst, West Sussex, RH14 9HP.
The closing date for all entries is Tuesday August 24.
