Maidstone player-boss Jay Saunders is set to unveil a series of new signings which he hopes will fire his side on to glory in Ryman League, Division 1 South.
Saunders has targeted a host of experienced players from higher-division clubs to join his revolution at United and try to make it an immediate return to Ryman League, Premier Division.
Saunders (pictured) is set to announce an experienced new goalkeeper, with Andy Walker expected to leave the club to continue playing at a higher level.
The Stones boss is also set to swoop for two defenders from Blue Square Bet South sides and an experienced striker from a Ryman League, Premier Division club.
Saunders said: "Hopefully, I will be able to have three of them signed by the end of the weekend. These are exciting times for the club."
He added: "We are not going to have the biggest squad next season but I want it to be quality and I’ve been looking to bring in some more experienced players.
"We have a lot of players aged 23 or 24 and under and I’ve wanted a few more experienced heads.
"If we’re going to be challenging at the top, I want people used to winning games and winning things, with experience of big games to come in and calm some of the younger players down when they need it."
