Roadworks mean M20 between junctions 4-6 and A21 near Pembury shut overnight
00:01, 24 February 2014
Kent's set to go into diversion overdrive this week as key sections of the county's road network are closed overnight.
Resurfacing work on the M20 between junctions four for Rochester and six for Maidstone and Chatham mean the whole of the coastbound carriageway will be shut for six nights.
Road users must follow diversion routes via the A228, A20 and the distributor road between 8pm and 6am for six nights from tonight.
There will be a 50mph speed limit in place approaching the work.
Meanwhile, resurfacing work to the A21 at Pembury will lead to full carriageway closures overnight for seven nights from tonight.
Between 8pm and 6am on those nights motorists should exit the A21 heading coast-bound at the Vauxhall Interchange, and follow the A26, B2017 and A228.
At the A228/A262/A21 interchange road users will then be able to rejoin the A21.
Motorists on the London-bound stretch will use the same diversion in the opposite direction.
