Bear Grylls took time out to meet his fans as they completed an assault course inspired by him.
The people taking part were clients of KentOnline's Charity of the Year, Kent Association for the Blind.
The participants were directed around the course by a guide who gave them directions.
The event took place at Trent Park with a number of different races set up for adults including a 5km and 'Ultimate Survivor' course.
One pair who took part were Lindsey Holness and her guide Mandi Bodemeaid.
Lindsey said: "All the participants were helping each other and cheering for each other throughout the whole course, creating a great atmosphere. It was real teamwork.
"I found the scramble nets and climbing activities quite easy to manage once I was made aware of what they looked like and where the foot and hand holds were."
Her guide Mandi added: "Lindsey took on the challenge of the full course, and although I had some idea of the types of physical challenges we would face, had not seen the course before hand, so we were working out how to deal with the obstacles together as we went along.
"This meant we were chatting and laughing constantly as we came across increasingly muddier challenges and were temporarily halted by being thigh deep in very gloopy mud pits."
Kent Association for the Blind aims to support sight impaired people to live independent lives.
