Man charged after attempted raid at Charmian Beaton jewellers

A man has been charged with robbery after an incident at Charmian Beaton jewellers in Maidstone.
Stephen Almond, 43, of Melville Road in the town is also charged with possession of a firearm with intent to commit robbery.
He is due to appear before Maidstone magistrates today.
A second man has been released on police bail pending further investigation.
The Pudding Lane shop was targeted on Wednesday.
