A lorry driver has been arrested after a man was killed in a crash on the M25 this morning.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene after the HGV was involved in a smash with three cars on the clockwise carriageway between J4 for Orpington and J5 near Sevenoaks at about 10.15am.

A woman was also seriously injured in the crash, which left the road closed for more than seven hours and caused traffic chaos.

The clockwise carriageway re-opened at just 5.30pm, but delays remained.
