TWO pet dogs have died in a suspected arson attack on a cottage in The Street, Doddington, near Sittingbourne.
Fire crews from Faversham and Teynham used breathing apparatus to tackle the blaze which caused serious damage to the ground floor front room of the semi-detached cottage. The rest of the house was damaged by smoke in Saturday night's blaze.
Firefighters discovered the dogs in an upstairs room, both of them had been overcome by smoke.
Police are interviewing a man in the west country in connection with the incident.
