Man’s body found off Southern Way, Folkestone

A man’s body has been found off a busy road.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Folkestone after the discovery was made on Saturday.
Police and ambulance vehicles were spotted on Southern Way in the afternoon.
Forensic officers were also seen in the road, which was cordoned off from the roundabout with Dover Road.
It is understood the body was found in a wooded area off the road itself.
The death of the man is not being treated as suspicious.
A police spokesman said: “Kent Police was called to a report of concern for a man near Southern Way, Folkestone at 3.52pm on Saturday July 1.
“Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and the man was located and sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner.”
