Man suffers cardiac arrest after accident

A man left hospital on foot only to return minutes later in an ambulance after being struck by a car.
He had arrived at Medway Maritime Hospital's emergency department on Friday morning leaving shortly after midday.
But a short time later the patient, was struck by a car on Longfellow Road, Gillingham.
The hospital has confirmed the man had earlier been awaiting assessment by its mental health team but had become 'agitated' and left.
A hospital spokesman, said: "The patient collided with a car on Longfellow Road.
"The patient had a cardiac arrest and was brought back to the hospital by ambulance at 12.27pm.
"The patient is currently in intensive care and their condition is described as serious but stable."
