Martin Hayes confident ahead of difficult away games for Dover Athletic

Martin Hayes remains confident his Dover Athletic side can continue their winning run despite two tricky away trips awaiting them.
Whites’ Blue Square Bet South play-off bid is slowly gathering momentum again after last Saturday’s 1-0 win against Hampton & Richmond Borough but trips to Maidenhead on Saturday and play-off rivals Chelmsford 48 hours later could go some way in deciding the club’s promotion hopes.
Dover are four points adrift of the all-important top five going into the double header and points are becoming an increasingly vital as the season enters its final two months.
Hayes is aware of the importance of the Maidenhead and Chelmsford fixtures but confident his side are capable of extending their three game winning run.
He said: "It is a big couple of games for us. Six points would be fabulous, four would be good and three wouldn’t be terrible.

"Winning at Maidenhead would put us in a great position but beating Chelmsford is not vital as they have still got to play Farnborough and Ebbsfleet United."
Injuries have hampered the Dover manager’s options in recent weeks but he is delighted to be able to field his first choice back four on Saturday.
Olly Schulz is expected to return after suffering from a hamstring injury, while Rob Gillman has recovered from illness.
However, influential midfielder Jon Wallis is rated doubtful with a sore calf and Donovan Simmonds could miss the game with a hamstring problem. Dominic Shimmin will serve a suspension.
