Two elderly women reported missing by family on Tuesday have been found safe and well.
Mari ‘Yvonne’ Vesey, 80 and Rachel ‘Sheila’ Hughes, 78, from Ightham were found safe in their car in Dorking, Surrey shortly after 4pm on Wednesday.
They were reported missing after failing to turn up for a hospital appointment.
Mrs Vesey's daughter issued a statement on behalf of the family, saying: "My mother and aunt are, as you would expect, very confused as a result of their experience. They both spent the night in hospital and are will have further medical assessments today.
"I am extremely grateful to the media organisations who helped in the search by publicising the police’s appeal for information about Yvonne and Sheila and my thanks goes to you and members of the public who looked out for their car."
