Motorcyclist, 47, seriously hurt in crash with car in Dover

A motorcyclist is in a serious condition in hospital after a crash in Dover last night.
The 47-year-old was injured in a smash with a car in Melbourne Avenue at about 6.15pm.
Police were called to the collision between the Yamaha motorcycle and Honda Civic car near the entrance to Christchurch Academy.
The biker was taken to the William Harvey Hospital, Ashford, before being transferred to King's Hospital, London, where he is in a serious condition. The car driver was not injured.
Melbourne Avenue was closed until 10.15pm to allow emergency services to work at the scene and for police officers to investigate the collision.
