Freescoring midfielder Lee Clarke has credited his team-mates after his four-goal burst on Tuesday night.
Clarke scored all four goals as Welling beat Eastleigh 4-2 in Blue Square Bet South.
But, after taking his tally to 14 for the season, Clarke admitted that the credit needs to spread around the squad.
"I was pleased to score four goals and I'll let the lads know about it for the next few weeks," said Clarke.
"We create chances every week just through working hard and this time it was my chacne to shine. With our front three, we are going to cause problems and I want to get on as many chances as I can.
"I was a striker for most of my career so I'm trying not to lose that instinct for goals."
Clarke also stressed the need to pick up results now - even at the expense of the neat passing game that Welling have stuck to throughout the campaign.
"We've played some great football this season but it's results from here that matter most," he added.
"We need to get as many results as we can to secure a place in the play-offs."
As for Welling's prospects for the play-offs, Clarke added: "When other teams look at the results we are picking up it sends out a statement and if we do get into the play-offs I don't think many teams will want to play us.
"Everyone knows the last four games have been hard against teams around us but we need to keep doing what we have been."
