A mystery man has become a millionaire overnight after winning a National Lottery draw.
The lucky Kent resident, known only as Mr. C, has won £1 million after matching five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball in the draw on Saturday, August 5 in a Lucky Dip via the National Lottery app.
He joins Mr. T, also from Kent, who won more than £80k on EuroMillions in May, and Miss. N who bagged a million in the EuroMillions draw in April.
Interactive winners are able to release their name, remain anonymous, or release some details through partial publicity, like Mr. C.
Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery, said: “Huge congratulations to Mr. C for winning this fantastic prize. He has become a millionaire overnight and can look forward to making a million new memories with his windfall.”
Tickets can be bought in retail outlets, online at the National Lottery website, or on the app.
Players who enter on the app or website will receive an email notification if they win a prize.
Thanks to National Lottery players, £30m is generated each week for Good Causes across the UK.
This money is used for hundreds of small projects in local communities, and supports the growth of women’s and girl’s football across the four nations.
To date, more than £47 billion has been raised for Good Causes with more than 670,000 individual grants awarded.
