French car-maker Peugeot has unveiled its 508 RXH diesel-electric hybrid, which it hopes will demonstrate a modern and enhanced vision for the company.

Along with its distinctive styling, the car boasts Peugeot's new HYbrid4 drive unit which enables the car, when conditions allow, to drive in 100 per cent electric mode and deliver an impressive 109g/km CO2 emissions performance.

Boasting 200 horsepower from its 2.0-litre diesel engine and electric power unit, the 508 RXH is four-wheel drive due to both the car's axles being driven - the electric motor drives the rear wheels.
