New scanner should save women's lives

A NEW piece of technology at the Medway Maritime should help more women survive breast cancer.
The first patients will use the new scanning device this week. It is being described as a revolution in detection of the disease.
Medway Maritime is the first hospital in Britain with the new bit of kit, which allows much quicker and more accurate diagnosis.
But director of breast screening Rosemary Toy told KM-fm that women should not ignore the early signs of a problem...
