General Election 2019: This was the turnout in every Kent constituency

With the nation watching closely it's hardly surprising that the highest percentage of voters turned out in Canterbury.

67.41% of voters across Kent headed to the polls today which led to the Conservatives gaining a majority.

The national picture was reflected in Kent with only Rosie Duffield in Canterbury breaking the sea of blue and retaining her seat for the Labour party.

Boosted by the student turnout, 76.19% of voters went to the polling station, with 29,018 votes.

She beat her Tory competitor Anna Firth by 1,836 following a battle that had plenty of controversy.

On the other end of the scale, only 60.71% of eligible people chose to vote in Chatham and Aylesford where Tracey Crouch retained her seat.

Maidstone and the Weald - 68%

Rochester and Strood - 65.5%

Sittingbourne and Sheppey - 61.4%

Sevenoaks - 71.35%

Thanet North - 66.56%

Thanet South - 66.19%

Tonbridge and Malling - 72.3%

Tunbridge Wells - 73.5%
