Orienteering back after 15-year absence

ORIENTEERING club Saxons will be holding the first event for more than 15 years at Blean Woods, Boughton Street, near Canterbury, on Sunday.

The event will have courses for all ages and abilities, from those with experience to first-timers.

Start times are from 10am until 11.30am and entrants are asked to wear suitable clothing and footwear for running or walking in potentially muddy conditions.

Maps are provided, and a compass can be borrowed if required. Guidance will be available for first-timers.

Registration will be in a field close to the woods, signed off the A299 north-east of junction seven on the M2, where and red and white direction markers will show the way to the car park.

Entry fees are £5.50 for adults, £1 for juniors. Parking is free.
