Pair taken to hospital after sports car overturns

TWO men had a lucky escape when the MG sports car they were in flipped over.
The 19-year-old driver and his male passenger were taken to Gillingham's Medway Maritime Hospital after the incident in Brielle Way, near West Minster, Sheppey.
It is thought their injuries were not life threatening, although they were transferred on longboards in case of spinal injuries.
The black sports car ended up on its roof. It collided with signs and telegraph poles before coming to rest on waste ground.
Police, paramedics and firefighters were called to the scene the men were already out of the car when they arrived.
Police contacted EDF electricity engineers to carry out repairs to an electricity pylon.
